Lunar New Year Feast and Cooking Camp
February 5, 2019
9am to 3pm
Ring in the Year of the Pig with a day dedicated to the lucky foods that make this one of the most delicious holidays of the year. We'll learn how to make everything from longevity noodles to dumplings for a special lunch feast, and we'll hear stories about the role these symbolic foods play and the traditions that distinguish celebrations across China, Vietnam, Korea and other cultures that celebrate Lunar New Year.
This camp is a great introduction to the Asian pantry and essential cooking techniques, like stir-frying and steaming. Students will make their own tea bags to bring home with holiday sweets like moon cakes and ginger candy to share with their families. And, because we know our Dynamite students love it so much, we'll teach them how to make their own (all natural, decaffeinated) bubble tea!
Camp includes lunch and snacks.
Early drop off (8am) — $15
Extended day (6pm) — $45
